PDG DAN ESPINOSA:

A True-Blue Rotarian

 

Talk about achievements in business and Rotary service, and then Rotary International Past District 3780 Gov. Danilo “Dan” Espinosa belongs to an elite group of so-called “true blue Rotarians” who are the embodiment of love and service to others.

Coming from humble beginnings, PDG Dan is the epitome of success and humility. More than his accomplishments in life, his heart is fully dedicated to Rotary service.

He is a graduate of the University of the East with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree major in Accounting.

He is married to the former Julie Buenavista Uy, and the Espinosa couple is blessed with three children namely: Danna Mhae, Mheryl Anne, and Matthew Dylan.

 

Dan is the president and general manager of Primemover Trucks and Equipment Corporation. The Company is engaged in the sale and importation of trucks and equipment. He is also involved in the real estate business.

 

In 1988, PDG Dan joined the Rotary Club of Biak-na-Bato and became an active member. His Vocational classification is Heavy Equipment Retailing.

In 1995 to 1996, PDG Dan was elected as Club President of Biak-Na-Bato. He is a Paul Harris Major Donor, Level 1.

In RY 2006-07, Dan served as a District Governor. During his term, he authored a resolution mandating all Rotarians in the district to contribute the amount of 100 pesos yearly to the District Disaster Fund that will be readily available in times of calamities.

As District Governor of Rotary D3780, he has been recognized with various awards and citations for his noble contributions such as:

Three-time District Most Outstanding Rotarian of the Year; RY1999-2000, RY 2000-2001, RY 2003-2004
Seven-time RCBNB Most Outstanding Rotarian of the Year
Rotary International Citation, TRF
Various District Awards Recognition and Commendation

 

He has given his life and dedication through the years in the service of Rotary guiding upcoming district leaders in various aspects in terms of administration, operations and continuity. Some of his current positions in his continuing service to Rotary include:

Rotary International President’s Representative (RY 2014-2015)
District Representative to the Council on Legislation (RY 2013-2014)
District Chairman, GSE Inbound Committee
Three-time District Chairman, Annual Tenpin Bowling Tournament

 

His passion for service doesn’t stop in the Rotary. PDG Dan also serves as Director of the Philippine Red Cross, Quezon City Chapter.

He is also active in his Catholic faith and nurtures his spiritual life as a member of Special Minister of the Holy Communion, St. Paul the Apostle Parish Church.
