The conference committee would like to enhance your conference experience in Kelowna with these tours and events on Friday, June 19, 2015.

 

1. Guided Wine Tour  hosted by Bill Jack of Club Wine Tours (Maximum of 24 guests)

a.10:30 a.m.    Guests will be picked up at the UBC campus or the 4 Points Sheraton.

b.Tours and tastings at Summerhill Pyramid Winery,   Ancient Hills Estate Winery including a light lunch on the patio, finally a tour of  Gray Monk Estate  winery.

c.Return at approx 3:30 p.m

d.Cost is $98.00 plus taxes 5% & gratuity at guest’s discretion.  ( $102.90 pp)

 

2. Kettle Valley Bike Tour or Walking tour at the Myra Canyon venue( Maximum of 22 people)

a.9:30 a.m. Monashee Adventure Tours will pick up guests at UBC Okanagan or The Sheraton Hotel, provide bikes, helmets, water and snacks for $100.00 inclusive. Two pedi-cabs are also available for 4 passengers . If you would like to go in the van but not ride a bike, the cost is $60.00

3. Oyama Zipline at 5617 Oyama Lake Rd  (Maximum of 40 people)

a.Enjoy an exhilarating experience  on  7 zipline rides in a three hour tour. One group of 10 people will be sent off and the next will go 20 minutes later etc.

b.The cost for groups of 20+ is $79.00(all inclusive)

4. Downtown Kelowna walking tour: RCA, Laurel Packing House, Rotary Marshes, Museum, Kasugai Gardens, lunch stop etc.

a.10:00 a.m. Start at the “Rotary Centre of the Arts”, (Cawston Ave,) “The Laurel Packing House” and “Wine Museum”. Next take a short walk to the “Rotary Marshes”,  stroll along the Boardwalk past the brand new Yacht Club and  through the “Kasugai Gardens”. There are numerous cafes and restaurants available for a lunch break. After lunch you may choose to visit the “Kelowna Art Gallery” “The Military Museum” or the “Okanagan Heritage Museum” on your own.   A nominal admission fee or donation is charged for these.

6. Thursday evening BBQ

a.This is a great social that is a yearly favourite.  Plan to arrive on Thusday late afternoon to partake and meet or make new friends.

7. Motorcycle ride

a.Cruise around some of the beautiful back country roads with your host Helmet.

 

8. Home Hosting

a.This is an annual favorite.  Join a small group of approximately 6 to 8 people in the home of a local Rotarian for fun and fellowship.  Many people will claim this is the best part of the conference.  No one knows who they will be visiting, so it's kind of a guess who's coming to dinner but the hosts will know and ensure that if you have special meal requrements or allergies that that will be taken into account.
